The components used to make up each Echo chainsaw can be sourced from a variety of countries, including China, Japan, Yokosuka, Shenzhen, and Morioka.
However, some of the parts are also made in the United States – specifically, in the state of Illinois.
Where Is Parker Located?
If you want a chainsaw that has been built and made entirely from parts manufactured in the United Kingdom, Parker is a good manufacturer to look at.
All chainsaws made by Parker are built in the United Kingdom (Lincolnshire).
Parker is also a family-owned and family-run company, which is yet another reason to support this business if you are based in the UK.
Which Countries Manufacture Remington Chainsaws?
Because Rmington’s parent company is MTD Products, which has its headquarters in Ohio, many buyers assume that their Remington chainsaws have been built and assembled from parts sourced only from the United States.
However, although Remington’s headquarters are in Valley City, the company sources many of its chainsaw parts from other countries.

Where Are The Jonsered Manufacturing Plants?
Like Poulan, Jonsered is owned by Husqvarna, and similarly, there’s no information available online to indicate where exactly Jonsered chainsaws are manufactured.
Again, though, since the parent company has provided information about its manufacturing practices, including the locations of its facilities, you can get a rough idea of the countries in which Jonsered chainsaws might be manufactured.
It is likely that Jonsered’s chainsaws are made in China, Germany, France, the United States, Brazil, and Sweden.
Makita Chainsaw Production Locations
Makita is a Japanese company, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that all Makita chainsaws are made in Japan.
The headquarters are located in Anjō, but there are also manufacturing facilities associated with Makita in Romania, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Mexico, China, Dubai, Germany, the United States, and Rwanda.
It’s worth noting that Makita also owns Dolmar as of 1991, so there is a facility manufacturing Dolmar chainsaws in Hamburg as well.
Husqvarna Manufacturing Facilities
We’ve mentioned Husqvarna a couple of times so far during this guide because this manufacturer is the parent company of both Poula and Jonsered.
Neither Jonsered nor Poula have publicly available information regarding their manufacturing locations, but we have been basing our best guesses on the countries associated with Husqvarna manufacturing facilities.
To refresh your memory, these are: the United States, Sweden, Germany, France, Brazil, and China.
It’s difficult to know which of these countries specific parts in specific chainsaw models come from, but at least this list gives you a rough idea of where the facilities are and where components are sourced from.
Where Are McCulloch Chainsaws Produced?
McCulloch used to be a US-based company since it was originally founded in Wisconsin, but since being founded, it has changed ownership and now belongs to Husqvarna.
As a result, there is no longer any specific information about where the chainsaws made by McCullogh are manufactured, but we do know where Husqvarna’s plants are based.
You can expect chainsaws from McCulloch to have been manufactured in either Brazil, France, China, Sweden, Germany, or the United States.
In Which Country Are Tanaka Chainsaws Made?
The final chainsaw manufacturer we’re going to be discussing today is Tanaka.
Tanaka was originally a Japanese company, but it has changed ownership since it launched and is now based in China because that’s where its new parent company, Hitachi, is based.
Because of this, the vast majority of chainsaws made by Tanaka are manufactured in China.
